I met Margaret and Stephen through Lauren & Will, whose wedding I photographed last October. Everything about Margaret and Stephen speaks of class and elegance. Years down the road, when they view there images, I have no doubt that their wedding will still be timeless.
Margaret chose one of my favorite themes for her wedding — small, sweet polka dots. They were trickled in a few places, like her veil and the groom’s cake. (The pattern reminded me of the Kate Spade larabee dot vases that we have in our home.) Margaret’s veil is one of the prettiest veils I’ve seen — I love it!
Margaret and Stephen were married at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, where Margaret has gone for many years. Like she’s done many days, Margaret walked from her mother’s home to the church, which is less than one block away. What a neat tradition to keep on your wedding day. Margaret was all smiles as her bridesmaids joined her on the stroll to the ceremony site.
Margaret and Stephen chose the luxurious Stephen F. Austin Intercontinental Hotel, which is in the heart of Downtown Austin. They had one of the best bands I’ve ever heard — Hot Wax! They kept the dance floor pumping all night, and the guests had an incredible time.
My second photographer, Julia, brought all of her awesome props and costume accessories for the photo wall, which eventually made their way onto the dance floor. So much fun!
