Introducing Austin’s photography workshop!
The photography workshop is geared to help you master your digital camera, provide you with foolproof lighting techniques, give you live shoots and assignments everyday, and teach you how to make an interesting photo in any situation. Along the way, you’ll learn how to develop your photography style and build your portfolio.
The majority of each day of the photography workshop will be spent in the field taking photos. Debra will teach and demonstrate a lesson, then the group will do the photography assignment in groups, and work on an assignment on their own. At the end of each day, we’ll review your assignment together as a class to discuss what worked and what could be improved.
What is the difference between the one week photography camp and the two week photography camp? The one week session will cover the basics, and work around natural light. The second week is more in-depth, and we will work with flash photography.
The Photography Camp is geared towards teens who have an interest in photography, and want to learn how to take amazing photos and/or have a career in the photography. The bonus set for adults who want to learn how to take better photos is that you will be able to select the dates for your workshop. Sign up with 3-4 of your friends, and I’ll help you master your camera and learn to take better photographs.
Debra is a wedding photographer based in Austin, TX, with a background in photojournalism. Debra also has a certified teacher in the state of Texas, and she’s blending both her talents of photography and teaching to create this workshop. She worked as a staff photographer at the El Paso Times, and interned at the White House. She’s been photographing weddings full-time since 2009.
