Marta and Bryan are nothing short of stylish. They both live in Los Angeles, and chose the amazing Retreat at Balcones Springs in Marble Falls, Texas as their destination spot for their wedding this coming weekend. This is perfect timing for their engagement session to be featured on the Modern Jewish Wedding blog. Thanks, Michele, for featuring them on your website!
I absolutely love it when clients are able to make something personal and special out of the wedding photos. When Marta saw the images with the two of them holding the letters, (which is featured in this blog post), she asked Bryan’s sister, Elise, to use the image as inspiration to create their marriage contract (called a ketubah). I cannot wait to see their ketubah this weekend at the wedding. Elise is incredibly talented, and you may check out her portfolio here.
There are several other amazing surprises for their wedding weekend, and I cannot wait to share their wedding story. Stay tuned … In the meantime, here’s the story behind their engagement photos.
On the day of Marta and Bryan’s engagement session, the Austin weather was abnormally cold, windy and rainy. (Well, it was “cold” for what we’re used to down here in Texas.) Marta and Bryan were such troopers going along with whatever the weather brought, and they just had fun laughing together. If you are a regular reader of my blog, you know that I think laughter is such an important aspect of any relationship. I loved seeing how cute Marta and Bryan are together, and capturing their interaction.
Before the engagement session, Marta purchased an amazing quilted blanket from Anthropologie, which came is handy as the sun started setting, and the weather got even colder. Marta and Bryan went with the flow. They giggled together in a rocking chair at the Driskill Hotel, climbed a tree on the State Capitol grounds, and snuggled under their blanket. One of my favorite shots from their engagement session is the photo of their legs on the blanket. Check it out on the featured blog post here.
