Usually, the dance floor at weddings is thumping with the classic wedding dance songs, favorite 80’s dance songs, or the newest top 40 hits. Typically, I’m in the thick of the dance floor, dancing along with the guests as my team and I work hard to get photos.
I had to approach photographing Sherri and Robert’s dance floor completely differently because their wedding music reception was all ballroom dancing. What a treat — it was so much fun to photograph! Sherri and Robert are extremely talented, and I was mesmerized at the timeless art of ballroom dance. Many of Sherri & Robert’s friends also love ballroom dancing, which made their wedding day really unique. Needless to say, I stayed on the edge of the dance floor, for fear of being stepped on or tripping any of the dancers.
We are thrilled to have another one of our couples featured Hi-Fi Wedding blog. Check out the feature here. This blog should be bookmarked by any bride who loves music, and is looking for great music at their wedding. (Needless to say, this is the perfect blog for all Austinites, who typically love music!) I now find myself perusing the Hi-Fi Wedding Blog for new songs to buy on iTunes.
During Sherri and Robert’s wedding at Villa St. Clair, it was wonderful to hear a different genre of music, and one that I absolutely love. The Wedding DJ, Jim Spann, of Tunes Across Texas, played classics from Frank Sinatra, Duke Ellington, Etta James and Glenn Miller. This is the kind of music I love to listen to when cooking in kitchen, or driving along the rolling hills across Texas. Of course, this was the perfect music for their ballroom dancing.
Thanks to all of the wonderful wedding vendors who made Sherri & Robert’s wedding remarkable!
