Kara and Eric’s wedding at Chateau on the Creek was classic, timeless, and really sweet. This was my first time photographing at Chateau on the Creek, and I have fallen in love with their beautiful trees, gorgeous property, and really kind staff. What’s more to boot, Kara and Eric also had perfect weather. (The weather had been tricky for both their engagement session and bridal portrait, so I was happy that their wedding day weather was beautiful.)
When Kara and Eric look back at their wedding day, they’ll have several stories to tell about the memorable moments throughout the day. You’ll find some of my favorite moments below.
Kara and Eric, thank you for including us as part of your day, and trusting us to photograph it. Kara, when I photograph and engagement session and a bridal portrait, there is often a special bond that I feel is made with my clients. I felt that little bond with you immediately at our first meeting, and you will always hold a special place in my heart. I was absolutely honored to work with you. Congratulations to you both!
The rings are passed from one bridesmaid to the next, as they take a peek at the jewels.
Some of the buttons needed a little needle and thread. Kara was patient as one of her bridesmaids worked her magic.
I love the look on the face of Kara’s dad when he saw her for the first time. A few of the following moments are below.
Kara’s bridesmaids get excited with Kara just before the ceremony processional.
Eric relaxes for one more moment before the ceremony.
I cannot get enough of this thumbs up photo. It’s like she’s saying, “I’ve got this.”
Kara and Eric laughed as they were filling their equal parts of sand because the sand was spilling over.
I often tell couples that their only job is to have fun and flirt with each other between the formal portraits. I absolutely love this moment of Kara and Eric being their playful selves. There are several moments like this throughout the day, but this one really shows them in their private, lovable world.
There was some confusion while completing the marriage license, but we got it figured out.
Kara and Eric asked to have a private last dance. I loved the two moments below.
