My name is Charlie Pope. When I was 10 years old, my grandfather gave me my first professional camera as a Christmas present. I didn’t know what it was or how it worked, but my grandfather taught me how to use it. He was a professor of photography at the University.
Although I didn’t understand a thing at first, little by little I started to like photography. Being able to capture beautiful moments through images that would last a lifetime was a rewarding experience.
As I grew up, my grandfather and I took little trips on the weekends to take pictures of different sunrises and sunsets. Pictures of animals in the forest and all the families that went to the lake for entertainment. When I turned 17, I had thousands of pictures and I decided to set up my first exhibition with the help of my grandfather.
The exhibition was incredible. Not only was my whole family and lots of friends there, but also many people I didn’t know from my hometown and outside. I even sold some pictures and received quite a lot of praise. That day I decided I wanted to dedicate myself to photography and make my passion become my professional life path.
I took several courses and specialized. I currently have a part-time job as an amusement machine servicer. With this job, I can buy some accessories like lights, reflectors, tripods, stabilizers, and more useful gadgets.
My dream is to quit and be able to devote 100% to photography. This is why I decided to open this blog, as a way to share with you everything about this beautiful world of photography, art galleries, and exhibitions.
